guilty. (this is really sad)

A used large silver stirring spoon lays directly in the middle of the right side of the floor, dirty and unattended, stepped over by those who live there. Random bikes lay in the middle of the opposite side of the mis-matched floor, black and white tiles mixed unwell with pink flowers and green stems. The floor itself is dirty and neglected.

I think of my purple carpet back home.

The little girls sit on the black patterned couch, playing with old baby dolls, and kicking the bike wheels as I sit on the other couch on the other side of the room. The kitchen table is propped up on the right side of the couch, accompanied by two seats, looking as if they had tried to clean themselves but made it worse. A third chair sits on the other side of the room, facing a window, wide open, with the poles intertwined so that they remind me of jail cell windows. Dirty fingerprints dot the walls, one side a pale white-turned yellow, the kitchen side left a mint green.

I glance down the hallway. Two boys sit on the bed in their room, staring at the tv, focused on playing a game. Another, the youngest, whom it was my responsibility to bring up here, gets clothes ready. He is sure to spray them with Disinfectant Spray so that it doesn't smell.

I didn't know people did that.

The mother lays simply on the bed in her room, in a white shirt polka-dotted with stains. The bed has no cover. I don't want to see what other rooms there are. Instead I polietly say 'hello' and take my place again on the couch.

The ashy little girls ask me questions like "When is your bithday?" and "How long are you staying?" and "Where are you staying at?", and i quickly anwer; my birthday is in June, i'm staying until sunday, I stay on the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge, and i feel guilty as i say that, like the bridge is my divider.

The power goes out.

The lights, the tv, and everything flickers off. The mother yells for the kids to start unplugging things, and i watch as the toaster, the radio, and even the microwave plug is snatched out of it's socket. The older son flicks a switch, the lights come back on as another son places a dirty beach towel on the kitchen counter, and plugs an iron in.
I continue to eye the unkept bookshelf, the empty shooping cart, the fallen-over fan, and a lone blue sneaker on the living room side. A lop-sided dryer, with the buttons that have fallen off, sits to the right of a washing machine with a Heinz ketchup bottle on top of it.

One minute later, the power goes out again. The boy unplugs the iron and the tv in his room, and flicks the switch again, and once again the light comes back on.

I feel bad.

The youngest son clutches three dollars in his hand that his mother scrounged up. He is afraid that his father will see the dollars and change and take it.

I clutch a twenty-dollar bill and this makes me feel even worse.

We are finally ready to leave. I hold the three dollars in my hand because the boy's shorts have no pockets, and as I leave I wish the dirt from the bottom of my sneakers dosen't land on the floor. But as always it does.

away.

How come when you go to McDonald's and order a Bacon Double cheesburger with no onions they give it to you and THE LITTLE WHITE FUCKERS ARE ALL OVER THE GODDAMN BURGER?! AAAAAH!

Anyways, i'm in new york city on the vaca and having a good time. I'll only be here for 4 more days, then i move back to hell-i mean, syracuse, until school starts again. Oh, that reminds me, I gotta start reading those summer books...

I was talking to Marissa yesterday (who NEVER EVER EVER stops smiling) and she told me that Ms. Rodriguez got fired (bitchy spanish teacher) got fired and i was so happy! It was seriously one of the happiest days ever, somewhere in the top 25, somewhere.

I just became the moderator of this cool new message board site The-N Haven and it's for my favorite channel The-N and if ya watch it and ya like the shows join and talk with me!

Seen my new AIM buddy icon? I kinda wanted to make it look like me, and i think it does! Anyway, if you want to make one, just go to The-N.Com, sign up, make an avatar, and then click on "Games and More", and then go to "More Games", and then go to "Avatar Iconizer". It's really really cool!

This is only my first entry so I really don't have much to say okay byebye the end
